Feeling the Presence of God in my Life

The second week of my discipleship class was just as powerful as the first week. In the first week I was delivered of a spirit of fear (please, go read my first post), and during the second week I encountered God and really felt his presence in my life.

On Thursday, someone prophesied over my life. God showed me that he saw the purity of my heart and how sincere I was in my prayers to him. He revealed to me that I have a unique ability to see beauty in all things and to capture it; he revealed that beauty makes sense to me, it’s my language. He revealed some other things about me as well as things about my brother’s life.

Prior to this, the person who prophesied over both my brother and I, had not really known too much about us. But everything he said was spot on. I could clearly see that God was speaking to my brother and I.

Later that night I went to a Jesus rally in Ephrata, PA; this was hosted by YWAM Lancaster. (https://www.ywamlancaster.com/jesus-rally) These rallies have been occurring every Thursday night at 7pm since June 2nd. The event is under a tent where everyone of all ages worships God; there’s prayer, testimonies, salvations, miracles, and baptisms. Going to these events have shown me the joy of the Lord and how he’s moving in other people’s lives in profound ways.

One person was healed of over a decade long addiction to chewing tobacco. During prayer, he felt and awful taste in his mouth and felt the urge to throw away all of the chewing tobacco in his car. Later that night he shared his testimony to the group.

Another person described how she had knee pain for almost two years. She was even going to call the orthopedic surgeon to schedule surgery because of the pain. At the event, the girl was baptized and when she came out of the water, her knee was healed! She felt something different when she came out of the water, she tested her knee and was jumping around with no pain. Since then, she has had no pain in her knee. Praise God!

It was even cool to see a young boy share his testimony with the crowd while he was sobbing the entire time. He prayed with such passion over the people to break free off the fear of man and put on the fear of God. After he shared, he went over to the pool and baptized at least 10 people.

It has been amazing to see God’s transforming grace at these rallies!

Later that night, I had a prophetic dream over the man who had a prophetic word for my brother and I. It was a very vivid dream of what God was going to do in this man’s life in ministry. The next morning I shared my dream with him. He said that, that night, he prayed to God for a prophetic dream, but did not have one. However, the next morning, I came to him with a prophetic dream. I’m so happy God used me as a vessel to further his kingdom.

The next day, there was an event where Jessika Tate was speaking at my church. During worship, I felt pain in my right knee. I knew my knee was fine prior too this, so I thought God was telling me to go on my knees in worship. However, after I was on my knees, I still had the pain. After a little bit on the ground, the pain went away. I knew then that this was a word of wisdom for someone in the room. (Through the class I was learning about discerning words of knowledge from the Holy Spirit).

After Jessika spoke for a little bit, she asked if anyone in the room had any words of wisdom to share. I knew I could be wrong about the word of knowledge, but I felt that God still wanted me to share. I just wanted to act in obedience in sharing the word, so I stood up and announced that I felt God was telling me that someone in the room had pain in their right knee. Someone in the front row raised their hand that they had gout in their right knee.

There was then a time for prayer, and I felt God move in the room.

That week I really felt the presence of God. I’m excited to share what he’s doing in my life, and I’m excited to see what he’s going to do next!
